After registering for the exam, you will receive a prompt email response confirming your purchase as well as a link granting instant access to the test twenty-four hours a day. The PALS certification test consists of fifty questions covering a wide range of subjects including effective respiratory management as well as recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk of cardiopulmonary arrest. Applicants are permitted to print out and review the exam if required. They can then return at a later time to complete the untimed exam. This option is ideal for those who may not be able to complete the exam in one sitting. Please be advised that the test cannot be saved to come back to at a later time. You must finish the exam in one sitting.

Once you have submitted your answers, our automated system will grade your test and quickly email your results to you. To complete the PALS online certification course and receive your provider card, you are required to obtain a minimum score of 80%. If you do not pass the exam, you may retake the test as many times as needed at no additional cost. Upon successfully completing the exam with a score of 80% or higher, you will receive an email confirmation that also contains your digital provider card. Unless you have purchased the expedited rush email card option at check-out, please allow one business day to receive your digital PALS provider card. Your hard copy provider card will be processed and mailed to you promptly.
